  3. --------- UNATTENDED CLIENT INSTALLATION -----------------------

  5. The FAXmaker unattended install allows you to install the FAXmaker client with the default options without any input from the user.
  6.  
  7. To run an unattended Client installation, you must edit the file "setup.ini" located in the FAXmaker client directory.
  8.  
  9. Before editing this file, make a backup of the file in a seperate directory. Should an attended installation be required, this backup file must be re-copied to the Client installation directories.

  12. How you should edit the 'setup.ini' file
  13. ----------------------------------------

  15. Setup.ini is an initialization file that FAXmaker Client setup uses to control certain elements of the setup. If you want to customize Setup.ini further, you must modify it yourself with a text editor.

  17. Setup.ini contains the predefined section:
  18.  [Startup]
  19.  
  20. You can add an additional section to Setup.ini to send information to setup when an unattended setup is required.

  22. The section you need to add must be called:

  24. [Options]

  26. and should contain the following keys
  27.  
  28. Language=ENGLISH {or}
  29.      GERMAN  {or}
  30.      FRENCH
  31.  
  32. Unattended=YES {or}
  33.        NO
  34.  
  35. SkipRules=YES {or}
  36.       NO

  51. After setting the required options, the unattended install can be carried out by running setup.exe.
